Hefner qualifies for DECA International Competition

Congratulations to Rock Bridge student Matt Hefner who qualified for DECA’s International Competition in Anaheim, California, by winning the first round of the DECA Virtual Business Challenge.  Matt competed in the Retail Division and is one of two students from Missouri to qualify for the National Competition. Matt is currently in Scott Fuenfhausen's Advertising and Promotion class. He has been a DECA member since his sophomore year with this being his first time to qualify for nationals.

The DECA Virtual Business Challenge is an official DECA competitive event where participants use highly visual simulation software to manage a business. The DECA Virtual Business Challenge (VBC) encourages DECA members to test their skills at managing a business individually or as a team. The VBC culminates in live competitions at the International Career Development Conference. This year's VBC will have the four tracks, VBR Restaurant, VBC Retailing, VBC Sports, and the H&R Block Dollars & Sense National Challenge.
