HOSA Students volunteer at Walk to End Alzheimer's Event

 Twenty-three members from Columbia Area Career Center, Battle and Hickman High School Health Occupations Student Association HOSA  chapters volunteered for the annual Walk to End Alzheimers.  Student volunteers set-up water stations, distributed water, and cheered over 600 walkers along on the 1.5 mile long route at Cosmo Park in Columbia.  The event raised over $30,000 for the Alzheimers Association of Greater Missouri.
HOSA is a national student organization with a  two- fold mission to promote career opportunities in the health care industry and to enhance the delivery of quality health care to all people. 

HOSA advisors are Deb Canine, Monica Duemmel, Karen Hirst, Bobby Horn, Mike Giblin and Christine Roberson.

HOSA will be sponsoring a food drive the week of October 13. Support the Central Missouri food bank with your donations. Barrels will be located at Columbia Area Career Center.
