Big O Tire Scholarship awarded

Rusty and Melanie Coats of Big O Tires are proud to award,  the $1,000 Big O Tire Scholarship to Austin Reno.  The Coats established the scholarship to encourage and assist students in pursuing a career in automotive technology or a related automotive area. The Big O Tires Scholarship is awarded to a high school senior who has completed the Automotive Technology program at Columbia Area Career Center and plans on pursuing post secondary education in an automotive related field. Preference is given to individuals who have completed two years of Automotive Technology at CACC.  Austin, a Hallsville senior, will be attending Grand River Technical School to study Diesel and Equipment technology. The award was presented by Jim Williams.
